Peer review policy
Peer Review Policy
The journal follows a single-blind peer review system, in which reviewers are aware of the authors’ identities, but the authors do not know who evaluated their manuscripts. This process aims to ensure the scientific quality of the published work and to guarantee a rigorous and impartial evaluation.
All manuscripts undergo an initial editorial screening to verify compliance with the journal’s formal and thematic requirements. Submissions that pass this stage are assigned to two independent expert reviewers, who provide a report with recommendations for improvement and a decision of acceptance or rejection within an estimated period of up to four months.
Final acceptance of a manuscript requires a positive evaluation from both reviewers. In case of disagreement, the article will be submitted to a third reviewer. The final decision may result in:
-
Direct acceptance of the manuscript.
-
A request for revisions prior to a new evaluation.
-
Rejection of the submission.
When revisions are requested, authors have 15 days to submit a corrected version addressing the reviewers’ comments.
The Editorial Board makes the final decision regarding the publication of each manuscript, taking into account the reviewers’ reports and duly notifying the authors of the outcome.
